Audi has launched the Audi A4 Celebration Edition in India, as the name suggest this is a limited edition variant of the car launched in celebration of the ongoing festive season. The Celebration Edition will be a limited run of units, it is more or less the ‘Corporate Edition’ of the A4 that loses out on a lot of features found on the regular variants, this also means that this is the lowest priced Audi A4 in the range.
Price
The Audi A4 Celebration Edition is priced at Rs. 25.99, ex-showroom
What’s new?
The Audi A4 Celebration Edition, though advertised here with a blue paint option, is actually only available in white paint option. It loses out on a lot of features, for example you do not get the sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, wood trim on the dashboard, power adjustable seats, electrically folding OVRMs etc.
It is powered by the 2.0-litre diesel engine, which has a power rating of 143 BHP and a torque figure of 320 Nm. This is the least powerful engine in the A4 range, propelling car fromm standstill to a 100 KMPH in 9.1 seconds and going onto a top speed of 210 KMPH. What you do get is a great mileage, ARAI rated at 16.55 KMPL. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT box.
It seems like the Audi A4 Celebration Edition is the company’s answer to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class ‘Edition C’ launched a few days back, but they have taken the very opposite approach of stripping out the car.
