Audi A3 now starts at a price of Rs 28.99 lakh and rival against the Mercedes CLA.
Audi A3 is now five years old in the country and to mark its anniversary, Audi India slashed the prices of their entry-level sedan by Rs 5 lakh. The prices for the Audi A3 now stars at Rs 28.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The luxury sedan comes in two trims, Premium Plus and Technology for both petrol and diesel engine. The 1.4-litre TFSI petrol motor produces 150 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque while the 2.0-litre diesel motor churns out 140 bhp with a healthy torque of 350 Nm.
The latter is powered by a 6-speed S Tronic dual clutch transmission while the petrol motor gets a 7-speed S Tronic DCT. Certified ARAI mileage for the diesel comes out at 20.37 kmpl while the petrol trim returns an effective 19 kmpl.

The car hosts multiple features like dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, colour driver information system, wireless charging, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED lightswithAudi emblem, reverse camera with guidance, navigations and many more.
Additionally to the price cutting, Audi also introduced the S line package to the luxury sedan. The package includes sporty front and rear bumpers, side skirts, S line rear diffuser, S line front grille, S badging on the front fenders, illuminated door sill trims and tailpipes in chrome.

For the year 2019 Audi is likely to bring its flagship sedan Audi A8L later this year. The expected price for the car will start from Rs 1.20 crores. Another favourite sedan, A6 luxury saloon, is expected to launch in August 2019. The car rivals directly with BMW 5-series, Volvo S60, Mercedes Benz E class. Audi’s entry-level SUV, Q3, will be globally unveiled in July of this year. It is expected to carry the same powertrain, 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine and a 1.5-litre petrol motor.
