Ather 450 has now received a new ECO riding mode, which offers 75 kms worth of riding range, that is 10 kms more than the Normal mode.
Ather has updated the 450 electric scooter with a new riding mode, through ‘Over-The-Air’ update. Basically, Ather 450 owners will get a notification stating that your electric scooter gets a new update.
So, the riding range of Ather 450 has now been increasec to 75 kms with the new ECO mode.It also comes in Sport and Ride mode, which offer a range of 55 kms and 65 kms, respectively. The range is ARAI-claimed.
In this new riding mode, the top speed is limited to 45 km/hr. In Normal mode, the top speed of the scooter is limited to 65 km/hr, whereas on the Sport mode, it goes up to 80-85 km/hr.

Ather also got an update and now the console shows battery percentage, two trip meters and tire pressure as well. You can also upload the documents related to the scooter on its system.
Ather 450 is the most premium electric scooter in India with features like onboard navigation, integrated E-Sim, safety alerts, Guide Me home lights, Reverse Riding Modes and more.
In the regular riding modes, the top speed is up to 80 km/hr. It gets a 2.4 kWh motor that produces 7.3 BHP and 20.5 Nm of torque. The sport mode produces the same figures but offers slightly better acceleration.
Reports suggest that there is a new Ather scooter under development, which will actually be priced against regular 125cc scooters. It will not be a premium model, but a mass-market product.

The manufacturer is soon going to commence its operations in Chennai. The bookings for Chennai will commence soon, as the infrastructure over there is under development. Later this year, we might see Ather scooters in Delhi and Mumbai as well.
Ather 450 is now priced at Rs 1.23 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The prices were recently cut, as it got approved under the FAME-II scheme for electric vehicles.
