In this post, Ashneer Grover talks about why he buys second hand cars. The co-founder and former MD of BharatPe had a candid conversation where he opened up about various facets of his life recently. He became the favourite shark of the audience in the hit reality show, Shark Tank India Season 1 last year. The show was a wild success and sparked a wave of entrepreneurship in the country. However, after the show ended, Ashneer got involved in a mix-up with allegations of fraud at BharatPe. He is no longer with the company.

Ashneer Grover’s Second Hand Cars
This video clip has been shaved off the full-length interview on careerboardguy page on Instagram. During the course of the conversation, Ashneer talks about how he noticed other big founders buying sportscars after getting funding for their businesses. In fact, he narrated a story about Zomato founder, Deepinder Goyal and how he bought a Range Rover after getting funding. He mentions that he also loves sports cars and wanted to buy them whenever he got a chance.

Talking about why he buys second hand cars, he answers by saying that it doesn’t hurt too much if a used car gets scratched on the road compared to when a new car does. That is the prime reason why he would not generally buy any new car. He adds that he gets into a bad mood for almost a week if his new car gets scratched.

Apart from that, one could also understand that the value of used cars is great as new cars shed value as soon as they exit the showroom. Hence, looking for a relatively new used car might not be such a bad idea. In fact, one could land insanely valuable deals on second hand cars.
