Shark Tank India has created a lot of interest in the country, particularly among youngsters, to pitch their ideas or company to serial investors to seek financial and professional guidance.
In this latest Ashneer Grover video, the serial investor is seen schooling a young entrepreneur who wishes to establish an EV startup. Ashneer became popular among the masses after his first appearance on the Shank Tank Season 1. He was, unfortunately, not a part of Season 2. But his brutal honesty and no-nonsense feedback to the pitching contestants made him quite famous among the netizens. His videos went viral at the time. Now, he is associated with the show called The CEO Challenge. The idea is the same where entrepreneurs pitch their companies and the judge, Ashneer offers them feedback and funds.

Essentially, the company will provide free electricity to charge the electric cars. The business model revolves around the advertisement. He plans to run advertisements for the local shops in and around the area where the EV is parked. These could be small local shops and stores. Ideally, while waiting for their EVs to get charged, the owners would be able to enjoy content on a large screen and will watch ads to boost the local business without spending any money for the charging.

To this, Ashneer tells him that modern cars already have large screens installed from the factory and they would rather watch content inside their own car. Hence, there will be no eyeballs for the advertisements which means that the entrepreneur’s company won’t be able to charge money from the local businesses to run their ads and hence the business is not sustainable at all. Such in-depth scrutiny and analysis of businesses is something that makes people like Ashneer so successful and rich.
