Maruti has started the online process of car servicing in many states and here’s what they will do the first thing with your car.
Manufacturers have commenced their onlines sales platform to prevent buyers/customers from stepping outside. If you go through these online booking and sales, you might not actually have to go to the dealership. The bookings and payment can be done with a phone or online and as far as delivery of the car goes, it will reach at your doorstep.
Some manufacturers are also offering the option of getting your car serviced while you are seated at home. At their official website, you can check for car servicing, schedule a date and time and the dealership executive will send someone to pickup your car. Maruti has started this service and one owner has shown us how they are actually doing it.

If you are probably scared that once your car goes to servicing, it might get traces of coronavirus. Maruti has a complete solution to prevent this. When the car will be picked up from your place, first the executive will sanitize your hands. After that, he will clean the door handles, gearbox, seats and steering wheel with a cloth and sanitizer.
After the cleaning process is done, the steering wheel, seat cover, gearbox and door handles will be wrapped with a paper. After the car is serviced, the same process will be repeated. Finally, when the owner gets his car back, it will be completely wrapped with plastic. All this ensures that there is no outside physical contact.
Manufacturers will be following this norm in times to come. You can also visit the dealership to see the servicing process, for which every showroom will have social distancing norms. Washrooms, tables and lounges shall be completely sanitized. Infact, many states are now opening up car and bike dealerships.
