Dealerships have started receiving the BS-6 units of Aprilia and Vespa scooters. All the scooters under these two brands have received a hike of up to Rs 19,000.
Piaggio is reportedly gearing up for the BS-6 transition as the updated Aprilia and Vespa scooters have started reaching dealerships. Most likely, we will see the BS-6 Aprilia and Vespa models by the end of this month or early January 2020.
Ahead of that, the prices of all the variants under the Aprilia and Vespa brand have been leaked. Mostly all the variants have received a price hike of around Rs 19,000. This might be the highest price hike for any two-wheeler.

As seen, the price range of BS-6 Aprilia scooters starts off at Rs 86,974 going up to Rs 1.14 Lakhs. The huge range of BS-6 Vespa scooters is now priced from Rs 93,305 up to Rs 1.26 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The 125cc, as well as the 150cc engines, now get fuel injection as standard. Also, the SR 150, SXL150 and VXL 150 will get “160” written instead. The engine capacity remains the same but the power figures have slightly increased.
The 154.8cc air-cooled engine on the 150cc scooters is now capable of producing 12 BHP and 11.5 Nm of torque. The 125cc engines will continue to produce 9.4bhp and 8.2Nm of peak torque. The mileage, however, has decreased by a bit for both the engines.

With that, the Aprilia and Vespa scooters are reportedly getting a semi-digital instrument console and some minor tweaks to the colour options. Unlike the Aprilia range, the Vespa range offers a vast range of colours to choose from.
Meanwhile, dealerships have started taking unofficial bookings for the Aprilia and Vespa scooters. We expect the deliveries to commence by the end or by mid-January 2020. Stay tuned for the updates!
