Fresh reports have revealed the pricing of the upcoming Aprilia Storm 125. It might be the cheapest Aprilia scooter in India.
Piaggio India is all set to launch one of its cheapest scooters in town. Aprilia Storm 125 is reportedly launching in a “few days”. It is priced at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom India).
Storm 125 is based on the SR125 but uses different styling bits. The graphics and the colour options are completely different, but the overall silhouette remains the same.
SR125 is priced at Rs 71,224 (ex-showroom CBS). We expect the Storm 125 to go up to Rs 80,000 (on-road). With this price, it will definitely attract more buyers towards Aprilia brand name.

The leaked poster from Bikewale shows that it is the exclusive price. Probably, this might be the introductory price for a limited number of buyers. The bookings have commenced and the deliveries are expected to commence by the early May.
Aprila Storm 125 continues with the same 124.6cc air-cooled engine, that powers the SR125. The engine delivers 9.5 BHP and 9.8 Nm of peak torque. The power figures are better than many 125cc scooters.
For suspension purposes, it will use telescopic forks at the front and a monshock absorber at the back. Braking will be handled by disc brake at the front and rear drum brakes with CBS as standard.

Features onboard will include an analogue speedometer, pass light, CBS, halogen headlamps and dual-purpose tires. A tall visor may be offered as an optional accessory.
Currently, Aprilia SR150 is a better selling scooter than the SR125. With the inclusion of a lower priced 125cc scooter, its sales can be further bolstered.
Aprilia Storm 125 will go against the likes of TVS Ntorq, Suzuki Burgman Street, Vespa Notte, Honda Grazia and Vespa VXL 125. If this is the pricing, it undercuts Burgman Street and the Vespa scooters.
