Anurag Kashyap becomes the latest Bollywood personality to purchase the Mahindra XEV 9e. Note that the deliveries of the XEV 9e and BE 6 have commenced recently. With record-breaking bookings, the electric SUVs have already been in the news ever since the official unveiling. These also mark the new sub-brands under which Mahindra will sell its electric vehicles – XEV and BE. These are based on the bespoke INGLO platform and are designed for global markets. Anurag Kashyap is at the top of that list. He is one of the biggest movie directors in the country. His movies have a cult following. In the video clip, we see him pose for the photos in front of his electric SUV. He is seen taking the delivery of the car as the dealership staff handed over the keys to him. Also, the overall arrangement for the delivery process was quite expansive. Similarly, other influential people are also seen with their new Mahindra EVs.

The Mahindra XEV 9e is available in two variants – 79 kWh and 59 kWh. These promise a range of 656 km and 542 km, respectively, on a single charge. Furthermore, the power and torque range from 286 hp and 380 Nm with the larger battery to 231 hp and 380 Nm with the smaller unit, respectively. Using a 175 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be juiced up from 20% to 80% in a matter of 20 minutes. With maximum power and torque, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h comes up in a mere 6.8 seconds. Finally, you will need to shell Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh, ex-showroom to get your hands on one.
