It seems like the upcoming electric coupe SUV has been having a chain of unfortunate events
In a matter of days, yet another crash of the Mahindra BE 6 has been reported. Note that the BE 6 is a new-age EV from the Indian auto giant. It is one of many upcoming electric SUVs based on the INGLO platform. This global architecture will spawn at least half-a-dozen EVs which will be designed for the international markets in addition to our own market. That clearly highlights the ambitious plans of the Indian auto giant for the future. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest case here.
Mahindra BE 6 Crash
We are able to witness this accident courtesy of mekapurprabhat on Instagram. It captures the aftermath of the crash minutes after the impact. The test mule of the coupe electric SUV is seen with a damaged front fascia on the road. It looks like the vehicle ended up hitting the divider from the driver’s side. The headlamp, bumper, fender, etc., have sustained damage. It is not clear at what speed this crash took place. In any case, there is another car involved in this crash.
A Hyundai Aura seems to have hit the BE 6 from behind. Perhaps it was travelling too close to the BE 6 and was not able to react timely enough and ended up rear-ending the EV. In fact, once the cameraman goes to the rear section of the BE 6, we see the left side of the bumper also affected. Maybe this is where the Aura hit it. In any case, we don’t have more details at this point in time regarding what caused this terrible occurrence. Also, we would refrain from passing on any judgements with regard to the damage until more information becomes available.
My View
We come across real-life accidents of prominent cars regularly, thanks to the internet. However, we must be vigilant since there is a lot of misinformation out there. We must not take anything at face value. It is imperative to cross-check the facts and confirm the veracity of events. Still, this particular instance seems pretty straightforward. I shall update this post once more details surface.
