Anand Mahindra Warns Thar Owners
The video clip shows a massive water crossing. It is not clear whether there is an actual road underneath the water or if it is some off-road location with so much water. Regardless, crossing water streams can be quite dangerous since you have no clue as to what lies beneath. There could be things that could cause damage to the tyres. Or even worse, there could be a large pothole in which the car could end up getting stuck. Therefore, such stunts must be avoided in any case. This is particularly true during the monsoon months with heavy rains causing giant water streams on the highways making it difficult to see the road.

After Anand Mahindra saw the video in his inbox, he tweeted, “Found this post in my inbox this morning. While I appreciate their faith in the Thar, this looks like an incredibly dangerous manoeuvre. I appeal to Thar owners to exercise restraint.” This is great advice because people think that an off-roading SUV like Thar has the capability of going anywhere. While that might be true to some extent, one has always gotta be careful, especially taking a vehicle somewhere with almost zero visibility.
