Mahindra Scorpio N created quite a record by receiving 25,000 bookings within 1 minute of opening and gets 1 lakh bookings in just 30 minutes.
Anand Mahindra has accepted the temporary glitch in the payment process after bookings for the Scorpio N were open on the website on July 30. Scorpio N has received massive traction from the potential customers who were eagerly waiting for the bookings to open. However, it turned out to be quite a disappointing experience for many due to the payment failure. This glitch lasted for about 10 mins, as these people turned to Twitter to express their ordeal. Anand Mahindra Bookings Glitch
Mahindra Scorpio has always been a popular product in our market. With this latest update, it became more capable and modern than ever. People took a liking to the SUV instantly and queued up for the bookings to avail of the introductory prices offer which was valid for the first 25,000 bookings. However, as soon as the bookings opened, people flocked to the portal resulting in a glitch at the payment partner of Mahindra. People found the “502 Bad Gateway” error. This caused them to lose the opportunity to book the SUV at introductory prices as the first 1,00,000 bookings were complete in mere 30 minutes.

Recognizing the issue, Anand Mahindra informed via Twitter, “From our press release. And I add my reassurance: There was a brief glitch with the payment gateway provider. We assure all customers that their time stamp prior to payment is duly recorded, so each customer will have their rightful place in the order sequence…” This caused people to express their disappointment too who asked Mahindra to play fair. But this tweet from Anand Mahindra comes as a relief since the time stamps will be taken into consideration and bookings will be allotted to the fair customers.

The Mahindra Scorpio N comes with a 2.0-liter mStallion direct-injection turbo petrol engine that produces 200 PS and 380 Nm, a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 132 PS / 300 Nm in lower variant, and a massive 175 PS / 400 Nm of peak power and torque on higher variants. There are manual and automatic transmission options to choose from along with the 4×4 drivetrain. The prices of the automatic and 4×4 versions will be revealed later this month while the rest of the lineup ranges between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 23.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
