Anand Mahindra has called the upcoming Scorpio N ‘A state of mind’ and ‘not a car’ while revealing the cabin design. The tweet comes with a video clip that showcases that the Scorpio N will come equipped with Mahindra’s Adrenox operating system which had made its debut on the XUV700. The video clip offers a complete peek into the cabin of the Scorpio N. Overall, the interior look much more premium than the regular Scorpio Classic that will continue to be on sale alongside the new model. The steering wheel has the buttons to control multimedia, and other functions, the digital instrument cluster has sharp graphics, there is a large touchscreen infotainment screen at the centre surrounded by vertical AC vents reminiscent of the erstwhile XUV500, the main attraction of the video seems to be the rotary dial on the gearbox console that would be used to select dive modes including 4×4 low and high configurations.

Apart from that, the dashboard looks wrapped in premium material with a Scorpio N badge stitched on the left side, there are SONY speakers that are also available in the XUV700, the seats and cushioning look supportive and comfortable, the second-row seats could be folded 60:40, there are perforated bits on the seats indicating ventilated function, the tan brown and black upholstery lends a premium feel to the cabin, the physical buttons on the centre console will ensure that the driver doesn’t have to take his/her eyes off the road for basic functions.

Specs
The exact specs of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will be revealed only at the time of the official debut but it looks like the new SUV will share its engines and transmissions with the Thar. The entry-level diesel engine variant will offer 130 PS with a 2WD format but the higher variants could offer 150 PS with an optional 4WD. The petrol variant will be sold with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that will produce 150 PS. In all likelihood, the petrol version will be available only in 2WD format. Transmission choices for both the engine variants will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic unit. We had also reported that the base petrol model of the 2022 Scorpio N could start from Rs 14.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
