The Chairman of Mahindra Group is at it again and he doesn’t fail to entertain the netizens with his witty and honest tweets.
Anand Mahindra has tweeted informing the Twitterati that he has been in the queue for the XUV700 that he booked for his wife. This came as a response to Chirag Shetty’s tweet who, along with Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, was instrumental in gifting India its first-ever gold medal at Thomas Cup. India created history by beating the defending champions, Indonesia 3-0. Know for being a sports buff, Anand Mahindra congratulated the team on this incredible feat. Chirag replied by thanking him and apprising him of the fact that he had recently booked an XUV700.

Anand Mahindra Waiting For The XUV700 For His Wife
Anand acknowledged the booking and told Chirag that since the XUV700 is the ‘Choice of Champions’, it will take some time to design it accordingly. Mahindra delivered a fully customized XUV700 to the Olympic gold medalist, Neeraj Chopra a few months ago. It is known for making special cars for such occasions, which is what we expect them to do with the XUV700 of Chirag Shetty too. Mahindra further tweeted, “This is the dawn of an era of Indian ascendancy in this sport; a sport that’s always been loved & played throughout our country. I grew up reading about the Thomas Cup & titans like Indonesia’s Rudy Hartono who dominated it. Today we swept Indonesia away…Apna Time Aa Gaya.”

After this, he mentioned that he is also waiting for the XUV700 that he had booked from his wife. He ascribes the global supply chain disruptions for the delay in the production of the vehicles. The semi-conductor shortage has hampered the manufacturing of vehicles everywhere in the world. Every major carmaker was reeling under the aftermath of the pandemic. This resulted in unprecedented waiting periods for the XUV700. Some people have still received the delivery date in 2024 for some variants in some cities.
