How will Ring Car Cam work?
The dual-facing camera is capable of capturing both the exterior of the car and the interior at all times. Like home cameras, these car cams also have sensors that can detect activity like break-ins and will start recording. Apart from this, the car owner will also get camera alerts and live views through the Ring app. The camera also has a feature called Traffic Stop, which allows users to start recording when pulled over or involved in a fender bender. The camera draws power from the vehicle’s battery, while the customers are required to subscribe to the Ring Protect Go service to access the cellular connection.

What about Ring Car Cam privacy?
Amazon shared that the camera will have a privacy shutter that can cut off any audio and video of the camera facing the interiors. It also gets an LED light that turns on when the camera is recording video and audio to make the occupants aware of the functioning of the camera.
