All-Red Mahindra Thar With 20-inchers
The images have been uploaded by kbtyres on Instagram. There are a couple of things that are unique to this Thar. The first one is the all-red paint scheme. Now, while that might be a bit too much for a lot of people, the second unique feature, the 20-inch alloy wheels, must be to everyone’s liking. The alloys are painted in black which complement the red colour brilliantly. They fill the wheel arches adequately too. The tyres on the Thar are also off-road-focused with appropriate tread work. The plus point of having large wheels includes great visual appearance and handling due to more contact surface. The most prominent negative associated with large wheels is a degraded ride quality as more bumps seep into the cabin and low fuel economy. But it is a compromise most people are willing to make.
Specs
The Thar comes with 2 engine options, a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, and a 2-litre turbo-petrol. The oil-burner makes 130 PS/320 Nm of peak figures while the petrol makes 150 PS/320 Nm of max figures. Transmission options for both the powertrains are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with a low range box. You also get a transfer case and a mechanically locking centre differential.
