Legendary singer Alka Yagnik was recently spotted in a swanky new Mercedes GLE luxury SUV. Alka Yagnik is an iconic playback singer that has been around in the industry since 1983. During these 4 decades, she has recorded over 8,000 songs for films and albums across several Indian languages. She has been awarded some prestigious recognitions including 2 National Film Awards, 2 Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards, and a record 7 Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer.

Alka Yagnik Buys Mercedes GLE
These images have been shared by Auto Hangar Mercedes Benz dealership. This is an old post where the legendary singer is seen taking the delivery of the Mercedes GLE luxury SUV. This was on the occasion of her birthday. The post says that she has been a client of Mercedes for a long time, and the GLE is the latest addition to that long list of vehicles in her garage from the German luxury carmaker. She is seen receiving a bouquet from the official at the dealership.

Mercedes GLE
The Mercedes GLE is a mid-size luxury SUV that comes in various trims in India. In the regular trims, there are options of choosing from a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel and a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine. The former outputs a decent 245 hp / 500 Nm, while the bigger diesel mill churns out 330 hp and 700 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. These engines come mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The acceleration time to achieve a 0-100 km/h sprint is 7.2 secs with the smaller powertrain and 5.7 secs with the larger one.

On the other hand, the performance-focused AMG GLE 53 version comes with a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine that generates a colossal 435 hp and 520 Nm of peak power and torque, which is a lot for a vehicle of this size. The 9-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels via Mercedes’s 4MATIC technology. It propels the SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 secs and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. This top trim costs a whopping Rs 1.64 Crore, ex-showroom.
