Indian roads are filled with drama and action just like in the movies and this particular incident exemplifies just that.
In a bizarre turn of events, a Maruti Brezza owner is seen complaining and blocking the path of the crane that towed away his SUV. Interestingly, such incidents are rather common on our roads owing to the lack of proper demarcations for parking lanes in most streets. Apart from the main highway and some prominent streets in any city, the local roads are poorly marked and there aren’t a ton of traffic signs to inform the drivers either. It looks like that is something which caused these dramatic scenes in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Maruti Brezza Owner Blocks The Crane That Towed His SUV
The video has been uploaded by NBT news on their YouTube channel. A couple is seen arguing with the crane operator in the middle of the road after their SUV was taken away. According to the information in the video, the couple had parked their vehicle wrongly on the road which is why the authorities had to take this action. The couple is seen blocking the path of the crane on the road, causing a traffic jam while the onlookers have gathered on the side of the road.

While talking to the news reporter, DK Gupta, the owner of the SUV, tells that the SUV was parked within the marked line. On top of that, he claims that the crane operator was misbehaving with them and threatening to run them over with his crane. This is also seen in the video to some extent when the couple is standing in front of the crane but the operator tries to move it ahead. After some time, the police arrive at the scene and both parties explained their viewpoints.

Finally, after gauging the situation, it was reported that the couple was slapped with a fine of Rs 1,000. This decision was made on the basis of a police investigation into the matter taking stock of the situation from the local people there. Needless to say, it came as a surprise to the couple who clearly thought they were not at fault. However, it is highly unlikely that the police will make any mistake taking everything into consideration.
