Netflix brings an interesting docuseries, The Romantics, which is based on Aditya Chopra and his iconic film production house YRF.
Aditya Chopra revealed that he had to spend more money on bikes for Dhoom than on Abhishek Bachchan or John Abraham. These brilliant insights have come to the surface as a part of Netflix’s The Romantics docuseries which aims to celebrate the monumental contribution of Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra and YRF to the Indian film industry spanning over decades. The series incorporates interviews with many prominent actors talking about what Aditya Chopra has done for Indian cinema.

Aditya Chopra Reveals He Spent More Money on Bikes Than Actors
The docuseries is, essentially, a compilation of interviews of popular Indian actors and their relationships with YRF. Also, there are interviews with Aditya Chopra where he narrates the journey of the YRF over all those years in our movie industry. Talking particularly about Dhoom, he had a lot of valuable insights. He mentions that, at the time, the formula for a hit Bollywood movie was Drama, Emotion and Romance. But YRF ventured into something adventurous by ditching the winning formula.

The Dhoom franchise brought in a different perspective with the elements of Heist and Action. Aditya mentions that he was inspired by Manmohan Desai and Michael Bay’s filmmaking aesthetics. The result was a blockbuster that turned into a 3-part movie franchise with Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan joining the film for the subsequent versions.
