Check out these photos of an accident which involved a Tata Tigor and a truck. Both of them have received extensive damage but with assuring results.
Tata Tigor has received a 4-star safety rating in the global NCAP crash tests, making it the safest sedan in its class. There are very few examples of it getting in an accident because Nexon steals the limelight away from all models. Here is one example which shows the strong build quality and safety that you will get with Tigor.
As you can see here, the truck rear ended the Tata Tigor. What’s shocking is that the impact of the accident left Tigor just with some damage whereas the truck toppled up. The accident indicates that the truck was travelling at more than 80 km/hr, easily. Probably, once it hit the car, it tried to take a hard turn and ended up being toppled up.

Talking about the damage, Tata Tigor managed to keep it limited to the rear portion itself. The boot and rear bumpers have completely come off and even the windscreen has been shattered. The pillars remain intact and so do the rear alloy wheels too. All passengers inside Tigor escaped with minor injuries.
Minor damages have managed to reach to the doors and their frame has been damaged. Lastly, the bonnet, front windscreen and roof have also received small damages, which will not cost that much. Definitely, it cannot run after this accident and will have to undergo a major repair, which will also be costly.
Tiago and Tigor are built on the same platform and share the same safety rating as well. Both are the safest cars in their segment, Tiago actually being the safest under Rs 7 Lakhs. A total of four cars from Tata have good safety rating which includes these two along with the Nexon and the Altroz.
