Hindustan Motors MD, Me. Manoj Jha revealed the plans of launching the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2012 in India in February 2012. Originally, the new Pajero was supposed to make its debut at the Auto Expo 2012 in Delhi, but due to unexpected floods at Thailand, the launch has been re-scheduled to February. The new Pajero sport features cosmetic upgrades, a powerful turbocharged diesel engine and attractive features.

The new Pajero is expected to be priced between Rs. 20 Lakhs to Rs. 25 Lakhs price bracket. The Pajero will comes a 7 seater model with safety features like ABS and airbags as standard. There will be a 4 wheel drive system in place which can be engaged on the go. The new Pajero will roll out from Chennai plant of Hindustan Motors.
