The next-gen Octavia RS will get blacked out treatment on the outside, will follow an all-black interior theme and will sport a much powerful retuned engine under the hood
The 2020 Skoda Octavia RS design has been leaked with a fresh set of images. The leaked image shows quite a formation of the performance oriented sedan and is expected to launch next year.
In order to differentiate the RS model from the standard 2020 Skoda Octavia, the performance sedan gets blacked out elements all over the body. For starters, it gets blacked-out radiator grille, sharper LED Headlamps, restyled front bumper and among others.
The Octavia RS also sits on newly designed alloy wheels which also gets blacked out treatment and red callipers inside. This makes the car looks sportier. Continuing with the blacked out treatment it is spread across on the roof and side skirts.

The sedan is also expected to get vRS badging on the front grille and tailgate. The rear profile will surely see a bootlid spoiler and the rear profile will also see a change.
The interior details are not mentioned but we expect that the new-gen Octavia RS will surely get blacked out treatment. The sedan is likely to receive sporty front seats, Alcantara leather and it will carry soft touch materials.
Also, the new Skoda Octavia RS is expected to see a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and will also carry Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connected features. The car will also receive various drive modes.
The engine options are not yet known but we expect it to use the same, 2.0-litre, four cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine in higher states of tune. Transmission option will include a 6-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

Talking about the current-gen Octavia RS then it makes about 227 bhp at 5500-6500 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 1500-4500 rpm. The next-gen Octavia RS is expected to make close to 245 bhp. The Czech manufacturers might also equip a 48V mild-hybrid system for additional oomph of torque.
The next-gen Skoda Octavia will be unveiled on 11 November and will be brought in international markets by 2020. We can expect the sedan to come into the Indian markets by the end of the next year.
The current-gen RS gained so much popularity that it got sold out in no time. We expect that the price of the next-gen RS remains close to the RS which was sold in India. At a price tag of Rs 25 lakh, there will be many petrolheads to get their hands on a budget oriented performance sedan. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
