Benelli has successfully commenced deliveries of its newly launched, Imperiale 400. The retro motorcycle has already crossed 700 bookings till now.
Benelli Imperiale 400 has had good initial success after seeing more than 500 bookings in just weeks of launch. It is the most popular Benelli motorcycle as of now and the companies say that its inquiries are increasing day by day.
The retro-styled cruiser is priced at Rs 1.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom), which makes it just Rs 4,000 costlier than the Jawa and even the top-end Signals Edition of Classic 350. Despite it being a CKD motorcycle, Benelli has managed to enter the competition with an aggressive price tag.
Meanwhile, the deliveries of Benelli Imperiale 400 have commenced across all dealerships. The bookings of the bike can be done online on Benelli’s website or through the dealerships as well, for a token amount of Rs 4,000.

Imperiale 400 gets a 374cc air-cooled SOHC single-cylinder engine that produces 21 PS power at 5,500 RPM and peak torque of 29 Nm at 4,500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and for better performance, you also get fuel-injection technology.
Suspension is handled by beefy 41mm telescopic forks at the front and pre-load adjustable twin shocks at the back. For braking, Imperiale uses a 300mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Imperiale 400 is available in three colour options – Silver, Red and Black – the latter two demanding Rs 10,000 over its price. Just like the Classic 350, the Imperiale also gets many classic-retro styling bits like the long exhaust muffler, round headlamps, a tear drop fuel tank, chrome bits, wire spoke wheels and a twin-pod instrument console.
