With the introduction of the BS6 engine in the Lexus ES300h we can expect a rise in prices
Lexus ES is a popular sedan from the Japanese manufacturer in the Indian market. It comes in a sole petrol engine and now Lexus ES will soon come in a BS6 compliant engine and ditch the current BS4 one.
A leaked document of the BS6 compliant Lexus ES reveals the details such as performance, gross weight, dimensions and much more. Currently, the ES300h is offered in a petrol hybrid terrain.
This is the seventh generation Lexus 300h and it sources its power from a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor. This motor is equipped with the Lexus Hybrid Drive System. The engine generates 178 bhp of power alone and when combined power is counted, it reached to 215 bhp at 5700 rpm with a peak torque of 220 Nm at 3600 rpm.

Lexus ES300h is a rear wheel drive car and comes with E-CVT (Electronic – Continuously Variable Transmission). It gets a top speed of 180 km/h and can do 0-100 km/h sprint in flat 8.5 seconds.
Dimension wise, this Lexus premium sedan measures 4,976 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width and 1,445 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,870 mm which indicates a whole lot of space inside and it gets a ground clearance of 151 mm.
The car gets 17-inch alloy wheels and the suspension is taken care by MacPherson Strut at the front and rear. It gets four disc brakes and gets a hydraulic steering wheel. The minimum turning radius of the sedan is 5.7 metres.

The Lexus ES300h offers a plethora of safety features making it one of the safest cars in its segment. It comes with a total of 10 airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Child Seat Anchor Points, and Seat Belt Warning.
It also gets Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Control and Traction Control System.
Currently, the Lexus ES300h is priced at Rs 59.95 lakh and with the introduction to BS6 compliant engine, the prices for the premium sedan will go up by a certain margin. We have also got to know that the Lexus LC pre-bookings have started and it will be launched soon.
