Now, it is not sure whether all 4 disc brakes will come with normal petrol and diesel trims or it will especially come on the turbo petrol unit only
Earlier we gave you some insights into the third generation i20. Now, in the latest spy shot spotted, it can be seen that the 2020 Hyundai i20 might come with all 4 disc brakes.
The 2020 Hyundai i20 will get all 4 disc brakes, at the front and rear axle. This feature is likely to come with the turbo petrol unit. This is because its rival, Maruti Baleno RS also gets all four disc brakes with the three cylinder, turbo petrol unit.
We also talked about the new-age digital infotainment cluster to come with the new-gen i20. This car will be the first among its competitors to receive such treatment. However, it is not sure if this feature will be standard across all trims or limited to the top spec Asta and Asta (O) trim.

The nex-gen Hyundai i20 was spotted on the Indian roads in a full camouflaged sheet. Based on the design and spy shots from the international markets, the front and rear profile of the hatchback is completely changed and it retains the overall silhouette.
Now, it will possess slimmer headlight design which seems a little downwards and appears sharper. A redesigned signature mesh grille along with new bumper design improves the look of the car. Do not miss out on the vertically placed fog lights.
The rear profile will also be changed with a revised bumper styling and LED treatment on the taillights. With these minor changes too, the nex-gen i20 will look fresh. Th interiors too will receive new upholstery and a new dashboard design.
Following the dashboard, there will be a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. Features such as wireless charging, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, push-button for start/stop function and among others will follow.

What’s new for this segment will be the connected car technology that Hyundai has to offer. The BlueLink technology which first came with the Venue followed by the recently launched Elantra will also follow the i20.
Under the hood too, the 2020 i20 will be updated with a BS6 compliant diesel engine. The 1.4-litre turbocharged unit will be replaced by a new 1.5L bigger motor. This engine does the duty on the Kia Seltos and produces 115 bhp on tap. However, the power will be detuned in order to make the hatchback more fuel-efficient and for cost purposes.
Another possibility is the addition of a new turbocharged petrol engine. This motor was first found in the Venue. The three-cylinder, 1.0L unit produces 120 bhp of power with a peak torque of 172 Nm. Transmission is taken care by a 7-speed DCT gearbox and a 6-speed manual.
We expect the pricing of the next-gen Hyundai i20 to see a premium over the current model which sells at Rs 5.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim. This is because of the addition of new features, styling updates and BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine.
