The BS-6 compliant versions of Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250 will be putting out the same power figures as in the current outgoing versions.
Since the BS-6 norms are coming in shortly, the engine specs or the launch dates of the updated models have started coming up on the internet. The latest ones include Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250 BS-6, whose specs have been leaked.
The leaked document confirms that the Suzuki Gixxer 250 BS-6 will not see reduced power figures. Even with the BS-6 engine, it will continue to make 26.5 BHP at 9000 RPM. As case with most of the other brands, the power figures will decrease.
The Gixxer 250 and SF 250 use the same 249cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, that produces 26.5 BHP and 22.6 Nm of peak torque, with a 6-speed gearbox. So, Suzuki would not compromise on the power of these two bikes, but the update will then affect its mileage.

The leaked documents show the dimensions as well, which also remain unchanged. The Gixxer 250 is 2010mm long, 1035mm tall, 805mm wide and has a wheelbase of 1340mm. The SF 250 has the same length and height, but is sleeker at 740mm and gets a slightly bigger wheelbase at 1345mm.
We expect no other changes onboard the BS-6 versions of Suzuki Gixxer 250 and SF 250. Both use telescopic forks in the front and a mono-shock at the back for suspension. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a dual-channel ABS as standard.
Features onboard include LED headlamps, a fully digital instrument console, dual-channel ABS, split seats and dual-exhaust tip. The Gixxer 250 is a naked street motorcycle, whereas the SF 250 is a fully faired motorcycle.
