Yamaha Fascino BS-6 has been spied testing in India, and we expect it to be launched later this year. It is the first updated Yamaha model to be spied.
The first Yamaha model testing with a BS-6 engine has been spied and it is the Fascino scooter. It has been spotted under heavy camouflage but with noticeable changes to the overall design language.
The BS-6 Yamaha Fascino seems to get a larger body with sharper side portion. The overall design is likely to remain the same, with some changes. Also, we can spot the new alloy wheels onboard, instead of the steel wheels.
The large left out space between the grab rail and the tail lamps indicate that it might get an external fuel filler cap. Other than these styling upgrades, we also expect a semi-digital instrument console to be used instead of a conventional analogue unit.

With the BS-6 update, the new Yamaha Fascino will get fuel injection system as standard fitment. Currently, the Fascino gets a 113cc air-cooled engine that produces 7.2 BHP and 8.2 Nm of torque. We expect the power figures to stay the same but mileage to increase by a bit.
For suspension, it will continue with telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the back. Braking will be handled by rear and drum brakes as standard, along with an optional disc brake. Now, it does not offer disc brakes on any variant.
Lastly, new colour options will also be offered on the new Fascino. With all these changes, the prices are likely to increase by Rs 5,000 or so. Currently, it comes in a single variant, priced at Rs 57,523 (Ex-showroom).

Yamaha has confirmed that it will launch the BS-6 models starting from late this year. All the models that are getting the update, will come in a phased manner. Out of the complete lineup, the Yamaha SZ-RR, Fazer 150 and the R15S will not get updated engines.
