The new Activa BS6 comes fitted with ACG Starter which prevents the noise of the engine whilst starting.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooters launched their first BS6 ready product, Activa 125 with fuel injection. The scooter was introduced on Sept 11 and the deliveries for the same has started.
Honda delivered the BS6 Activa to its first customer in New Delhi. It is available in four new colours – Pearl Precious White, Heavy Grey Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic.
Commenting on the beginning of the PAN India deliveries of the BS-VI Activa 125, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. The BS-VI version of Activa gets revised semi-digital instrumental console. It displays an instantaneous fuel economy, external fuel filler cap, average mileage and riding range, engine idling start stop feature, side stand engine cut options and among others.
The engine start-stop feature works when the scooter is left in idle for more than 5 seconds. For a rider to resume the ride, they have to twist the throttle and press the handbrake.
The front tyre gets disc brake of 190mm while the rear sticks with a drum brake measuring 130 mm. It gets 1,260 mm of wheelbase and the ground clearance is 169 mm.
Other features on the top trim, that is the Deluxe include a clock, LED headlamp, [ass Light, alloy wheels and among others. The suspension is handled by a telescopic at the front and spring loaded hydraluc type at the rear.

Honda Activa comes in a total of three variants, Standard, Alloy and Deluxe. It comes with a 124 cc, single cylinder, oil cooled petrol engine with the fuel injector. It produces 8.1 bhp at 6500 rpm with a peak torque of 10.3 Nm at 5000 rpm. Performance wise the fuel injector is a little dull but it increases the mileage by 13%.
The prices of the Honda Activa starts at Rs 67,490 and the top end sees a range of Rs 74,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The two-wheeler competes with the likes of TVS NTorq, Aprilia Storm 125, Suzuki Burgman Street and Hero Maestro Edge 125.
