Skoda also introduced corporate edition to the Kodiaq recently. This edition is based on the entry-level trim, Style, and sees a price range of Rs 32.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Skoda is all set to bring a rugged version of the Kodiaq, also known as Scout in India. The launch will happen on 30th Sept and this version of the SUV will be based on the top-end trim, L&K.
The Indian bound Skoda Kodiaq Scout will see a new off-road terrain mode which will help in increasing the throttle response and conquering rough patches. It is not sure if the SUV will carry all the specifications which are available in the International markets.
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout will see an all-black interior as compared to the dual-tone beige and black found in regular Kodiaqs. To further make the SUV loud, the backseat and the glove compartment will see Scout badging to differentiate from other Kodiaqs.

On the outside, the SUV will see new 19-inch anthracite alloy wheels. It will also receive black plastic cladding all over the body, silver roof rails and ORVM covers. A bit of chrome detailing on the window trims and grille can be observed too.
It should be noted that the SUV will see an increase of 6mm in ground clearance over regular Kodiaqs. The ground clearance now sets at 194 mm and also the SUV gets better approach and departure angles of 22.0 degrees and 23.01 degrees respectively. It also receives full underbody protection too.
This new off-road spec will be based on the top-end trim, L&K so it will be feature loaded. The cabin will see a large 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Leather upholstery, Ventilated seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, drive modes and among others.

Safety features in this car include Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution. Electronic stability control, multiple airbags, start/stop button, keyless entry, rear parking camera, reverse parking sensors, high speed alert system, seatbelt reminders and more.
Mechanically, the Kodiaq Scout will use the same 2.0-litre turbocharged, four cylinder, diesel engine which produces 150 bhp and a peak torque of 340 Nm. Transmission is handled by a 7-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG).
The pricing will be announced on the launch date itself but we can expect it to sit at a premium above the top-end L&K trim. The SUV will further compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Honda CR-V, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas G4.
