Now, CarBlog India reader, Himanshu has provided us with some fresh spy shots of an undisguised eZS doing testing rounds in Delhi.
The MG eZS will be the company’s second offering in India after the Hector. MG claims that the car can do a run of over 250 km on a single charge, although the company is yet to reveal full technical specifications about the car. MG has also said that they will reach out to their Indian target customers and educate them about electric vehicles, also addressing concerns like range anxiety and charging infrastructure.
The eZS would come into the country through the CKD route and would be locally assembled at the company’s plant in Halol, Gujarat. MG Motors is also expected to provide home and fast charging solutions as a part of the deal. In fact, MG Motors have joined hands with Fortum India to set up DC Fast Charging infrastructure (50 KW) in the country. According to the deal, Fortum will install 50 KW CCS/CHAdeMO DC fast Public Charging Stations across MG’s showrooms in 5 cities including Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad by September this year.
