The Climber trim is the top of the line trim which is feature-loaded. The car will get a new steering wheel, new design, new touchscreen infotainment system and among others.
We recently showed you the spy shots of the upcoming Renault Kwid facelift and now Autocar India has brought to the knowledge that the hatchback will come in a total of four variants. The on-going model comes in STD, RXE, RXL and RXT (O) trim.
Renault Kwid facelift variants will include all the new features and cosmetic upgrades the hatchback has to offer. The design of the facelifted Kwid is inspired by the electric car K-ZE which is available in the global markets.
The updated car will target the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S Presso but as far as designing of both the cars are seen, the Kwid is a handsome looking car.

The facelifted Renault Kwid follows the split headlight design with LED DRLs at top and main headlight units at the bottom. It also gets a restyled grille up front along with new front and rear bumpers.
The overall silhouette of the hatchback continues to be a crossover style and retains its shape. The Climber edition of the Kwid gets newly designed gunmetal alloy wheels too. And gets Climber written on the front left door.
The interiors of the Kwid will follow some bits from the recently launched Triber. The all-new steering wheel is one. Also, the hatchback will get an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The digital instrument cluster with tachometer will come with the facelifted model.
The hatchback will continue with the 800 cc and 1000 cc naturally aspirated petrol engine. The former produces a total of 54 bhp with 72 Nm of peak torque while the 1.0L petrol motor churns out 67 bhp with 91 Nm torque. Transmission option includes a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT. The latter is only found in the 1.0L engine.

It is too early to say if the engines will be BS6 compliant or not. In addition, the hatchback will also receive some structural changes in order to comply with the new crash test norms.
Upon its launch, the Renault Kwid facelift will compete with the likes of Datsun Redi-GO, Maruti Alto K10, Maruti Alto800 and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S Presso. The prices will be a little higher than the current model.
