The leaked images of the interior of Tata Altroz have started coming up, as the upcoming premium hatchback has started reaching Tata dealerships.
Tata Altroz is all set to storm the premium hatchback segment, as the launch is most likely to happen in a couple of weeks. It was showcased last at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in a complete production form.
Ahead of the launch, Team-BHP has leaked the interiors of the Tata Altroz. The interiors had been spied earlier as well, but these ones are quite clear. Also, with this, the hatchback has started reaching dealerships.
Starting on the interiors of Tata Altroz, it actually looks different from the Nexon. The flat-bottom steering wheel is new and the controls on it seem fresh as well. It gets an analogue speedometer besides a big digital MID that will display the RPM, fuel range, fuel reading, odometer and other bits.

The floating touchscreen is the same that comes on the Nexon. The Auto-AC and music dials also are refreshed and not seen on any Tata right now. Its not like Tata Nexon looks plush on the inside, but Altroz is likely to do that job better.
The spotted test mule seems to be a petrol unit, as a 5-speed gearbox can be seen. Going by the speculations, Tata Altroz will be offered with two petrol engines and a diesel engine. The 1.2 Litre 3-cylinder petrol engine will come from Tiago and the 1.2 Litre 3-cylinder turbocharged mill from Nexon is also expected to be available.
Tiago’s engine produces 83 BHP, whereas, with the turbocharger, it produces 110 BHP on Nexon. The 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Nexon will also be available on the Altroz. Gearbox options for petrol will be a 5-speed MT and an AT gearbox. For diesel, it is likely to be a 6-speed manual initially.

As said earlier, entering the premium hatchback segment will make the Altroz go against Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20 Elite.
