Hyundai Venue once again outsells the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza for August sales. This is the second time in a row after July, that the recently launched Venue beat its popular rival.
Hyundai Venue sales recorded a total of 9,342 units for August while that of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breza stood at a mere 7,109. Hyundai Venue competes with the likes of Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport and Mahindra XUV500.
So what makes the Hyundai Venue much popular in the market? We tell you! For starters, it is available with three engine options – two petrol and one diesel. It also gets 5-speed MT, 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT.

The 1.2-litre petrol engine makes 83 bhp with a peak torque of 115 Nm gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine produces 89 bhp and a 220 Nm of torque is paired to a 6-speed MT.

The most powerful of the lot, the 1.0-litre turbocharged engine churns out 120 bhp with a peak torque of 172 Nm. Transmission here comes with a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed automatic if you choose convenience.

Hyundai calls it the BlueLink Technology which offers Remote Start/Stop/Door Lock/Climate Control/Horn/Light Control/Real-Time traffic Information/Destination Transfer/Destination Set in Link with Schedule and Vehicle Theft and more.
Hyundai Venue hosts a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth as connectivity features. It also gets features like an electric sunroof, air purifier, wireless charging and among others.

Safety features onboard include 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP/ESC and Vehicle Stability Management, High-Speed Alert System, Seat Belt Reminders, Hill Assist Control, ISOFIX, Brake Assist, Rear Parking Sensors.
Coming to the price point, Hyundai Venue gives a run to its rivals in terms of money. The starting price tag sticks to Rs 6.5 lakh for the base 1.2L petrol model while the top model sits at Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
