Looks like Honda has started testing the new 5-generation City Sedan, as the first test mule has been spied in Delhi NCR, but fully camouflaged.
Honda City is one such sedan which has been in India for nearly two decades and still remains one of the most trusted ones. Currently, in its fourth-generation, it goes against the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.
While many reports have confirmed that Honda is going to bring the new City in India. Now, we can confirm it going by the recent spy shots of the test mule. The spotted test mule is in its fifth-generation, which is still yet to be launched in global markets.
From seeing the spy shots, we cannot tell much about the new 2020 Honda City, but it is likely to be a big update for India. The spied sedan looks a bit sleeker at the back than the current version. We can only spot the shark-fin antenna, blacked-out B-pillars and multi-spoke alloys.

Big changes are expected to come under the hood of the 2020 Honda City. Going by the recent reports over the past few months, Honda is planning to bring a small hybrid system for the compact cars and the first ones to get it might be the Civic and City.
Honda City will continue with the 1.5 Litre petrol and the 1.5 Litre diesel engine with BS-6 compliance. We expect the petrol as well as the diesel engine to get the hybrid system, which will also increase the mileage of the sedan.
For transmission, the petrol variant could come with a 5-speed manual as well as a CVT gearbox. As of now, the diesel variant only comes with a 6-speed manual, which might also get a CVT gearbox as an option.

In terms of features, the Honda City is well equipped now, but still, we can expect some minor feature additions. The interiors will also be updated in this version with a completely new colour scheme inside.
So, we are highly speculative that Honda might showcase the production-ready new Honda City at the 2020 Auto Expo. Or probably it could be launched as well…..
