Volkswagen Portfolio Includes Polo, Ameo, Vento, Tiguan and Passat.
Volkswagen India is now offering a total of 5 years warranty package on all its diesel engine in its portfolio. The German manufacturer becomes the second in line after Maruti announced the 5 years/1,00,000 kms warranty package across its 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engines.
Commenting on the new warranty package, Steffen Knapp, Director – Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “With this new introduction, we also offer our customers a comprehensive after-sales program that ensures a hassle-free experience.
Starting January 1, 2019, all Volkswagen carlines offer standardised vehicle warranty of up to 4year/100,000 km, 4-year free roadside assistance (RSA) and three free services to our customers. Further, we also announce a 5-year standard warranty program on the diesel variants of our mass-market carlines that provides a value proposition to our customers in the diesel segment.”

That said, the petrol trims of Volkswagen cars gets a 4yrs/1,00,000 km warranty and the package can be extended to further two years. A 4+1yrs/1,00,000 km and a 4+2/1,50,000 km package. The Volkswagen diesel engine similarly get an optional 2-years warranty package too with the standard 5 years.
Now, the plan is quite fruitful and sure will attract new buyers. However, Volkswagen India may ditch the oil burner in future. But the warranty package will act quite a relief to its buyers.
Yesterday, Volkswagen India saw the launch of its two new cars, Polo and Vento. The only cars which bring most of the sales to the company now get minor facelift. These facelifts have been inspired from the GTI and the Volkswagen is making sure to stay in the competition.

The changes on the facelifted Polo and Vento gets two-tone alloy wheels and it receives black trim on the lower bumper. The GT Line of the cars gets a black contrasting roof, black ORVMs and a spoiler. Also, a black diffuser is given at the rear section which gives it a sporty look. Also, both the cars receive tweaked taillight design altogether.
The updated above Highline now comes with Volkswagen Connect. It basically helps you giving in the location of your vehicle or how your daily driving pattern is or helps you when the car gets stuck in emergency situations.
