The Indian homegrown carmaker, Maruti Suzuki introduced the rugged version of the Ertiga, named as XL6, on Aug 21 at a price of Rs 9.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, if you are planning to invest your money in Maruti XL6 then you got to wait at least six weeks as the waiting period for the same is high.

Starting off with the capital city, Delhi, then there is absolutely no waiting period in this city. Following the trend, Jaipur, Chennai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Noida too has zero waitlists for the Maruti XL6.

Cities like Thane, Kolkata and Mumbai sees a waiting period of two to three weeks. While Pune and Bengaluru waiting period stands at a minimum of four weeks.
Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Patna, Coimbatore and Faridabad stands at 14 days to 45 days period while customers in Surat sees a waiting period of four to six weeks in total. Surprisingly, Hyderabad sees only 14 days waiting period for the automatic trims of the XL6 only.
Now, talking about the car then the XL6 is based on the same platform like that of Ertiga but it differentiates itself in the seating configuration, interios and few exterior changes along with the badging.
The front fascia now gets LED headlamp cluster with integrated LED DRLs and front and rear skid plates. The MPV receives body cladding which runs all over the body and roof rails to give it an aesthetic look.
To give the MPV a premium feel, Maruti has replaced the bench seat in the middle row with the captain seat. That makes the XL6 a 6-seater MPV now. The interiors receive an all-black treatment and the same touchscreen infotainment size which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Maruti XL6 is available in two trims, Zeta and Alpha. And transmission onboard includes a five-speed manual gearbox along with a four-speed torque converter unit. It shares the same 1.5-litre petrol engine which churns out 104 bhp along with 138 Nm of peak torque.
Maruti XL6 will be available in six colour options including, Nexa Blue, Pearl Brave Khaki, Prime Auburn Red, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Magma Grey and Premium Silver. The prices for the Maruti XL6 starts at Rs 9.80 lakh for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 11.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
