The design inspiration is taken from the recently launched Renault Triber and the compact SUV will pack some aggressive style.
Sevral reports have been surfacing on the internet about the Renault HBC, and it is expected to be launched next year. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rival does not clear shots but we do know it will sit on an extended platform of the Triber. So here we have a rendered image of the Renault HBC.
Starting off with the front fascia of the Renault HBC rendered image, the car looks like the Triber in terms of styling and the three slat grille is now neatly designed with integrated LED DRLs. The projector headlamps, wide central air dam and skid plates makes it a handsome looking SUV.
The rear profile sees Skoda inspired taillights along with which is seen on the Triber too. The lettering has been done of Triber as of now but once the name is out, that’ll be there. Also, the Renault logo has been badged into the mid rear section.

The interiors of the HBC is expected to get a similar dashboard design along with a large touchscreen infotainment system and gear lever but with a pinch of more upmarket materials.
Also, the engine used can be the same as the Renault Triber but expect a turbocharged petrol engine for the higher trims. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which does the duty on the Triber makes 71 bhp and a peak torque of 96 Nm. Currently, transmission option includes a 5-speed manual gearbox but an AMT is likely to join the portfolio by early 2020.

Once launched, the sub compact SUV will rival against the likes of popular Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon. Mind you, only Maruti have said to ditch the diesel engine once the BS6 emission norms kick in. So Renault Captur will really have to make its place into the already popular UV market.
