Hero has launched the Dash electric scooter, another one in its lineup. The new model is priced at Rs 62,000 and will be available at dealerships soon.
Hero Electric has introduced a new scooter, the Dash, which is now the sixth model in the lineup. The new scooter goes for Rs 62,000, making it the third costliest model from the manufacturer.
The new Hero Dash electric scooter gets a 48V 28 Ah battery pack, which offers a riding range of 60 kms. The batteries take four hours to be charged fully, even after using a fast charger. The top speed has been limited to just 25 km/hr.
Features onboard include LED headlamps, LED DRLs, tubeless tyres, a fully-digital instrument console, remote boot opening switch and much more. The Dash has been given some retro-touches, including chrome finished mirrors and a uniquely-styled front portion.

The ground clearance of the scooter is 145mm, well-suited to tackle Indian roads. For suspension, you get telescopic forks at the front and a spring suspension at the back. Braking is handled by drum brakes at both the ends.
With this, Hero has also launched the extended-range variants of Optima and Nyx. The Optima Er and the Nyx ER are now high-speed variants, offering a range of 110 kms and 100 kms, respectively.
The Hero Nyx also gets a unique feature, where the pillion seat can be adjusted for a back-support for the rider. Both the scooters get a top speed of 42 km/hr. The charging times for both the scooters if 4-5 hours, with a fast charger.

The Optima ER is priced for Rs 68,721 and the NYX ER goes for Rs 69754 (all prices inclusive of taxes). The scooters will be available soon at the 615 touchpoints that Hero electric has in India currently. The manufacturer plans to increase the touchpoints to 1000 by the end of 2020.
