The Mahindra XUV300 has sold more number of units than the Bolero for July, 2019. The Bolero has consistently been Mahindra’s best selling product till date!
The automobile industry has been witnessing a slowdown for many months now, every manufacturer having reported of declining sales. Even Mahindra saw its year-on-year sales in the passenger vehicle segment decline by 11% last month. However, even in such times, the Mahindra Bolero and the Mahindra XUV300 has been consistently bringing in sales for the company. Interestingly, the Mahindra XUV300 has emerged as the most selling Mahindra for July, replacing the Bolero off the top spot.
The Mahindra Bolero has been Mahindra’s best selling vehicles of all time. We recently reported of Mahindra rolling out the 15th lakh unit of Bolero SUV. Available in a wide range of body styles, it has found varied application in a number of fields. It doubles up both as a great people’s mover and great commercial pick-up truck for a wide range of duties. The rugged build quality and versatility has earned the Bolero a great name.
In recent times however, the compact-SUV segment has been growing quite steadily. Even in the face of rising competition from the Hyundai Venue, the Mahindra XUV300 has still managed to garner good amount of sales for itself. The Mahindra XUV300 is a very potent car with handsome looks, well equipped interiors and with the option of both petrol and diesel engines. Recently, Mahindra launched the XUV300 with an AMT gearbox for the top two diesel engines, thus widening the appeal of the car.

Now, for some numbers, the XUV300 sales stood at 4,464 units in July 2019. It was still down by 6% as compared to sales of 4,769 units in June 2019 but it was just enough to earn itself the top spot in Mahindra’s sales, beating the best selling Bolero by just 18 units. Bolero sales in the past month stood at 4,446 units, which was down by 13% as compared to sales of 5,118 units in June 2019.

As for other Mahindra vehicles, the Scorpio, XUV500 and the TUV300 follow the XUV300 and the Bolero in their respective order in terms of sales. Also, speaking of declining sales, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently announced some measures to revive the sales in the automobile industry like reducing the interest rates on car loans, postponing the increment of vehicle regitration fees and several more!
