The SUV segment is the hottest segment in the country right now even with the downfall of Auto Industry. The new UV from Tata will also take on the likes of recently launched Kia Seltos.
The news isn’t new that Tata is working on a new SUV, named Blackbird. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and recently launched Kia Seltos. And the spy shots of the SUV has been caught doing the rounds on Indian roads.
The heavily camouflaged SUV sports production-ready body panels and the design does not really shape well with the Cherry Tiggo 5X. Earlier, there were reports that Tata would use a rebadged version of the Chinese version of the SUV but seeing the popularity of ALFA Platform, many people doubted that why Tata feel the need to do that.
The camouflaged car does follow the IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy and we can see split headlight design. The LED DRLs on top and the projector headlamps like that seen on the Harrier.

The interior details are not yet known but we expect it to receive a modern touch of technologies and will be feature loaded. The instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment unit, high-quality plastic materials, leather upholstery could be some of the highlights.
Dimension wise it will sit in between Tata Nexon and the Tata Harrier. With the downfall in sedan sales globally and rise in SUV’s, Tata Motors has decided to go forward with the project Blackbird instead of the X452, the Altroz’s sedan version.
