BMW has launched the new generation 2019 3-Series in India, which is now in its 7th generation and its price starts at Rs 41.40 Lakhs (ex-showroom India).
BMW India has launched the 7-generation 2019 3-Series in India, with price starting at Rs 41.40 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The entry-level sedan is the most popular Beemer sedan in the global market.
The 2019 BMW 3-Series comes in three variants – 320D Sport, 320D Luxury Line and 330i M Sport. Two diesel variants and a petrol variant are offered. Here are the variant-wise prices:
- 320D Sport – 41,40,000
- 320D Luxury Line – 46,90,000
- 330i M Sport – 47,90,000
The main highlights include some dimension changes, a refreshed styling, a bigger kidney grille and many new features. The sedan is now 55 kgs lighter than its earlier generation. It is now 77mm longer and 16mm wider, with a 41mm longer wheelbase as well.
The new 3-series draws some similarities from the 8-series, especially going by the larger kidney grille. New bits include LED headlamps with LED DRLs, alloy wheels and a refreshed C-Pillar. An optional feature includes laser lamps on all the variants.
The 320D variants come with a 1995cc four-cylinder diesel unit, that produces 188 BHP at 4000 RPM and 400 Nm of peak torque at 2500 RPM. The 1998cc twin-turbo petrol engine produces 255 BHP at 5000 RPM and 400 NM of torque at 4400 RPM. An 8-speed Automatic transmission comes paired to both the engines.
Features now include Heads Up Display, fully-digital instrument console, Cruise Control with braking feature, Launch Control, 3-zone AC with rear AC vents, electronic seat adjustment for the front, Wireless Charging, Parking Assistant and much more.
Safety features include seven airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, DSC with Traction Control, ISOFIX and Tyre Pressure Indicator. For parking assist, you get reversing assistant, rear view camera and lateral parking.
At this price, the 2019 BMW 3 Series continues to rival the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, Volvo S60, Lexus ES and Jaguar XE. All of them are priced in a similar range and with this, BMW has put very competitive pricing.
