Engine Specs, 0-100 kph, Fuel Efficiency – we have put all the information together you might want to know about the Kia Seltos, the first offering from the Korean brand in India.
As Kia is nearing the launch date of the Seltos, it has built a great fan following for itself. When Kia unveiled the Seltos in June, they were pretty mum about the specifications and performance specs of the Seltos. Gradually, engine specification and other specs like mileage and dimensions surfaced the internet. Now, we have full performance specs of the Kia Seltos ahead of its launch later this month.
Kia Seltos 1.4 Liter T-GDI Specs:
This 1.4L, turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine is the most powerful offering in the Seltos. The engine produces 140 bhp and 242 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard but there’s also the option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. With the T-GDI engine, the Seltos can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 9.7 seconds. However, its a little low on fuel efficiency, achieving 16.5kmpl with the automatic and 16.1kmpl with the manual gearbox.
Kia Seltos 1.5 Liter Petrol Specs:
The 1.5L, naturally aspirated petrol engine in the Seltos puts out 115 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque. Like the 1.4L, turbocharged engine, this one too comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox but the option of the automatic is a different one. This engine can be had with a CVT gearbox. This is the least powerful engine for the Seltos and as a result the 0-100 kph dash is also the slowest at 11.8 seconds. However, its mildly more fuel efficient than the other petrol engine, achieving 16.8kmpl with the automatic and 16.5kmpl with the manual gearbox.

Like the other two engines, this too comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard but gets a 6-speed torque converter for the automatic. The 0-100 kph sprint comes up in 11.5 seconds but it is the most fuel efficient of the lot. It returns 18.0kmpl with the automatic and 21.0kmpl with the manual gearbox.
