The Skoda Kodiaq Scout will get silver skid plates, dual-tone ORVMs, increased ground clearance, an off-road mode and all black theme on the interiors in India.
Skoda has been planning to launch the Kodiaq Scout in India for quite some time and it seems the Czech car maker will finally get it here around Diwali. The Scout variant of the Kodiaq is essentially a little more rugged than the standard Kodiaq and gets several modifications on that conext.
What are those modifications you ask? Well, the Skoda Kodiaq Scout gets additional 6mm of ground clearance and it now stands tall at 194mm. It also gets better approach and departure angels. The standard Kodiaq already gets AWD in all its trims and while the Scout will also get AWD, it gets an additional off-road mode which alters the throttle response and damper settings and also gives better hill ascend and descent abilities.
To differentiate itself from the standard Kodiaq, the Scout will get different set of alloy wheels, silver skid plates for the front and rear bumpers along with under body protection, dual tone ORVMs and rugged roof rails as well. On the inside, the Kodiaq will sport an all-black theme with wood inserts on the dashboard and ‘Scout’ lettering on the seat backrests and glove compartment.

As for the features, the Kodiaq Scout will be more in line with the Style variant of the standard Kodiaq. It will get LED headlamps, ESC, 6 airbags, keyless entry with start/stop button, and power-adjustable driver and front passenger seats. However, it will miss out on certain features offered in the L&K trim, which focuses more on luxury. The L&K trim exclusively gets 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument console, 360-degree parking camera, auto headlamps with rain-sensing wipers and the 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory function.

As for the powertrain, the Skoda Kodiaq Scout will continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine offered in the standard Kodiaq. It churns out 150PS of power and 340Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox with an AWD drivetrain. The Skoda Kodiaq Scout will sit in between the Style and L&K variants of the Kodiaq in India. The Style is priced at Rs 35.37 lakh while the L&K is priced at Rs 36.79 lakh, ex-showroom. Expect the Kodiaq Scout to be priced in between them.
