Hyundai Venue is the first connected compact SUV available in the market which offers BlueLink Technology. Other features too like wireless charging, large touchscreen infotainment system and more which makes this SUV a popular choice.
Ever since the Hyundai Venue was launched, it created quite a stir in the compact SUV market. Be it the onboard features or the sleek design, it beat them all. The same is with the number of sales too as Hyundai Venue beat the Maruti Brezza, which is a segment popular in this market and its own elder sibling, Creta.
In addition, Hyundai spokesperson said in July that the Venue has received a total of 50,000 bookings in just two months which is another reason for its sales. And over 35% of the buyers showed interest in the DCT (dual-clutch transmission) variant. Let’s have a look that by how much numbers did the compact SUV, Venue beat its rivals.
Model | July Sales |
Hyundai Venue | 9,585 |
Hyundai Creta | 6,585 |

One of the more reasons for Hyundai Venue sales can be the availability of both petrol and diesel engine while the popular Brezza only comes in the diesel trim. Although, Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that there won’t be any diesel engine on the offer post BS6 emission norms.
The Venue is priced at Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is fairly attractive for the base model. A 1.2L naturally aspirated motor is available which does the duty of Hyundai Elite i20 too. It churns out 84 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. Transmission onboard includes a 5-speed manual gearbox. This price tag appeals to many hatchback buyers and the curiosity leads them to Hyundai dealerships.
