With the GST reduction from 12% to 5%, the Mahindra eVerito prices are reduced by Rs 80,000.
Recently, the government announced a reduction in GST (goods and services tax) for electric vehicles from 12% to a mere 5%. To promote the usability of EVs government has taken this step and with this, there is a drop in prices for a few electric cars present in India. One such EV is the Mahindra eVerito which saw a dip of Rs 80,000 in prices after GST.
The car, unlike the Tata Tigor EV which is availed by commercial or government purpose, e-Verito opens its doors to private buyers too. The new prices of Mahindra eVerito after GST now start at Rs 10.71 lakh. Mind you, this price tag is of the base trim D2 and applicable only to the fleet market. But the private buyers cannot avail the FAME II subsidy scheme and prices for them starts at Rs 13.70 lakh to Rs 14.20 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Mechanically, Mahindra eVerito gets a lithium-ion battery pack of 18.5kWh for the D2, D4 and D6 trim while it gets a smaller 13.91 kWh battery for the base trim C2. Power output remains at 41 bhp at 4,000 rpm and peak torque at 91 Nm at 3000 rpm. The car gets an ARAI certified range of 140 km and 110 km for the C2 trim.

At present, a majority of eVerito buyers are fleet operators, but Mahindra hopes to find more private-use buyers with the all-electric eKUV100, which is set to replace the e2o in the Mahindra Electric range when it is launched in early-2020.
The cabin gets fabric upholstery with dual tone interiors, a 2-Din integrated music system with 4 speakers. It gets USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth compatibility. Front and rear power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 12V power socket and among others are some of the convenience features the car gets.

Safety features for the Mahindra eVerito include driver side airbag, ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer, speed sensing door lock and child safety lock. Reverse parking sensors, front seat belt reminders, high speed alert system are still a miss though.
