Ever noticed a small convertible distinct looking car, probably red in color, on the Indian roads? You must have seen such a car but I am sure you cannot recollect because it wasn’t unique enough. San Motors, a Goa based company, is not a popular manufacturer like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai and focuses on selling 2-3 units in a month.
The company’s only known product is a convertible car with a soft top and what is so interesting about the car is its price. Known as San Storm, the car is priced just under Rs. 6 Lakhs which is quite good.

The car is fun to drive but the refinement levels and features are not top notch. But at this price what more can you expect. Storm features a 1.2 liter engine, sourced from Renault that produces 60 BHP @ 5250 RPM of max power and 94 Nm @ 2500 RPM of peak torque.
According to Zigwheels, San Motors is planning to launch an all new San Storm convertible model with a more powerful engine and once again Renault will be supplying the engine. Besides a new engine and a little bit of styling, the company is looking forward at opening more dealerships nationwide to increase its sales and make more buyers aware of their product.
