Hyundai Creta is already a success in the Indian market and with the 2020 Auto Expo, a second generation of the SUV will be seen. It packs revamped design, new engines and much more.
It is just a few months for the Auto Expo 2020 to roll in and many manufacturers will showcase their concept cars, production cars and much more. One such car we are waiting for is the 2020 Hyundai Creta. The SUV has made its own sweet spot in the Indian market and pulls out a four-digit sale every month. Let’s see what the new generation Creta has to offer.
Cosmetic Changes
The 2020 Hyundai Creta, is showcased at the Chinese markets and is known as ix25. The changes start with a split headlight design followed by the same to the taillights. New Creta has also grown in dimensions and looks bigger now. It also gets a new dual-tone alloy wheel and square wheel arches.
The interiors will see a fresh dashboard design and now will see a new multi-function steering wheel. A new leather upholstery, revised instrument cluster can also be expected with the upcoming Creta.

New Features
The ongoing Creta hosts loads of features which makes the Indian buyer more inclined towards this car. With the new Creta, we can expect a large touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink Technology. This feature gives an exclusivity over its rivals by providing Remote Start/Stop/Door Lock/Climate Control/Horn/Light Control/Real-Time traffic Information/Destination Transfer/Destination Set in Link with Schedule and Vehicle Theft and more.
Other features like a 360-degree camera, LED Headlamps power-adjustable front passenger seat, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, front parking sensors and more.
BS6 Engines
The second-gen Hyundai Creta will borrow the same 1.5L petrol and diesel BS6 engines from the Kia Seltos. However, we are not sure if the power output will remain the same or not. The power output for Kia Seltos petrol comes at 115 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque and is mated with a CVT. As for the diesel engine, it produces 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque with a 6-speed AT gearbox. A 6-speed manual transmission comes as standard.

Hyundai Creta 7 seater
The SUV mainly comes as a 5-seater but with the growing competition and many speculations, new Hyundai Creta might sport a 7-seat arrangement with the addition of 3rd row. With this, it will compete against the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Tata Hexa and Toyota Innova Crysta.
Updated Prices
Since the new Hyundai Creta comes with new BS6 engines, there might be an increase in the prices than the ongoing spec. In addition, new styling on the exteriors and interiors are also a factor for the increase in prices for the SUV. Currently, the prices for the ongoing model starts at Rs 10 lakh and the top-end trim sets you back by Rs 15.66 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
