The 7-seater Hector is scheduled to launch early next year and it will directly compete with the likes of Tata Harrier (Buzzard).
MG Hector 7 seater also known as Wuling Almaz in Indonesian markets has been launched at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. The same SUV is known as Boujon 530 in Chinese markets, has been selling with different markets globally.
MG India has said that the 7 seater Hector will be made available in Indian markets by next year. And talking about the Wuling Almaz, the SUV has been launched at 263.8 million Rupiah (INR 13.05 lakh). It is available in two trims, Smart Enjoy and Exclusive.
Transmission options for the base spec, Smart Enjoy, includes a manual transmission and a CVT. The CVT trim is priced at 275.8 million Rupiah (INR 13.64 Lakh). The Exclusive trim is will cost you around 338.8 million Rupiah (INR 16.76 lakh).

Taking you through the dimensions of the SUV, it is more or less the same as its 5-seater version. The addition of the third row of seats decreases the boot space which first stood at 585 litres. One noticeable change is at the front fascia where the SUV receives a broader bumper. The extra pair of seats come with individual headrests and gets split-bench arrangement.
The interiors follow the same dashboard design and the big 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android as connectivity features. The connected car technology, i-SMART, helps you check your vehicle status, make emergency calls, real-time navigation and several other features.
Features like Full LED lighting, Ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, Power adjustable front seats, Front parking sensors, Powered tailgate and more will come onboard.
Some first-in-segment safety features for the same includes 3-point seatbelt, Rear Disc Brakes, ESP with traction control, Hill Hold Control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, 7-airbags, auto headlamps, follow-me-home headlamps, rain sensing wipers and more.

The Indonesian spec Hector 7 seater – Wuling Almaz is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 142 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox. This same set of engine is available in India but gets DCT gearbox.
MG Hector is currently priced at Rs 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and with the addition of third-row bench and AC vents, we expect the prices to see at least Rs 60,000 hike. Once launched, the MG Hector 7 seater will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier 7 Seater which is also known as Buzzard in International markets.
