The test drive for the Kia Seltos will begin soon since the SUV is spied at some dealerships before its launch.
Kia Seltos, the much-anticipated SUV from the South Korean manufacturers will launch on Aug 22 and the vehicle has started reaching dealerships indicating that test drive for the same will start soon.
Currently, Kia Seltos isn’t available at dealerships which makes it difficult to the potential buyers to see the SUV in flesh and also get to test drive the same. Kia Motors India revealed its dealership locations and shared the overwhelming response of over 6,000 bookings for the Seltos in 24 hrs.
Kia Motors opened the official bookings for the Seltos on July 16, 2019, and the company received over 1,600 bookings via online itself. At Rs 25,000 one can book the mid-size SUV, Kia Seltos.

The powertrain includes three BSVI engines – two petrol and one diesel motor. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with the availability of CVT for 1.5L petrol, a 7-speed DCT for 1.4L turbo petrol and a 6-speed AT for 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine.
The 1.5L turbocharged diesel motor produces 115 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque, the 1.5L petrol motor churns out 115 bhp with 144 Nm of torque and the more powerful turbo petrol motor generates 140 bhp with a healthy torque 242 Nm.
Kia Seltos packs premium features like a smart 8.0 Heads Up Display (HUD), a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connect technology. The UVO provides 37 connected features including remote start, nav and voice recognition.
It also gets ambient lighting, leatherette seats, 2-step reclining rear seats, 60:40 split with adjustable rear centre headrest, ventilated front seats, a driver powered seat, sunshade curtains, high-line tyre pressure and a 400-watt 8 speaker Bose sound system.

Kia Seltos shares its platform with the Hyundai Creta. With dimensions being to 4,315 mm in length, 1,800 mm wide, 1,620 mm in height and 2,610 mm at wheelbase. The SUV is shorter in height than Creta but packs a longer wheelbase than Creta, citing to more cabin space. Kia Seltos sits on 16-inch wheels while the top-spec trims will sit on 17-inch wheels.
Kia Seltos is expected to carry a competitive price range of Rs 11 Lakh to Rs 17 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this price range, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Renault Captur, Mahindra XUV500 and entry-level trims of Jeep Compass.
