We have been hearing a lot about Peugeot Citroen in context with their new facility at Sanand and their excepted line-up of products in India. As per speculations made in the recent past, the obvious models to be introduced here includes Peugeot 508 sedan and Peugeot 207 small car but our sources have informed us that the 207 might not make it to the market initially as its new and improved successor Peugeot 208 has already made a global debut.
So the story now revolves around just one car, Peugeot 508. Recently one of our readers got lucky enough to arrange some brilliant and exclusive exterior and interior pictures of the car. Also on the condition of anonymity he has briefed us a little bit on the specifications of the same.

No doubt the car is as impressive as any Mercedes C Class, BMW 3 Series or Audi A4but it will priced significantly lower than them. The features of the car have not been finalized yet, still we can expect some of them which are as follows:

The features provided with 508 are really advanced. For instance the remote key could be used to open and close the power windows before entering the car and after leaving it. The main beam assistance is designed to increase the intensity of the corresponding head lamp on a turn. And these are just a small bit of the list of features that are expected to come with 508.

Because of the recent constant increase in petrol prices, the company is focusing on a diesel version only and we are quite sure that initially only a diesel engine variant will be launched. Interestingly the company is testing an automatic transmission version and not a manual one, so we would see an automatic version along with a manual at the launch, probably.
